Celtic Energy Limited is a member of the South & West Wales Safety Group who has been celebrating its 75th anniversary over the past year. As part of events, all the members were encouraged to engage with their wider communities and donate an amount of time, goods or money to enhance the health, safety and well-being of people in the area.
Celtic Energy Limited decided to support Celtic Leisure who are a charity that runs leisure and cultural services across Neath Port Talbot in partnership with Neath Port Talbot Council. They were then able to purchase ?500 worth of swim & gym equipment to be shared between Pontardawe Swimming Pool to help with their “learn to swim” programme for children and the Vale of Neath Leisure Centre to provide some additional fitness equipment for their gym.
The presentation was made this May at the Vale of Neath pool in Glynneath by John Rees [Celtic Energy’s Health & Safety Manager] to Craig Nowell [Celtic Leisure?s Head of Business Development] with the cheque being handed to Mike Bendyk [Facility Manager] along with Richard Davies [Supervisor] in attendance. Celtic Leisure were most appreciative of the donation by Celtic Energy Limited who in turn praised the enthusiasm of Phill Jones ( Chairman of the SWWSG ) for his energy in driving the “Give 75” campaign and making it a success and benefit to many in the South and West Wales area.
Now a connection has been made, it is hoped there may be opportunity for Celtic Leisure to work with Celtic Energy Limited on some other health and well-being initiatives in the future.
